11. Homemade lanterns made with milk jugs
.
Create a spooky path to your house this Halloween with homemade lanterns that you can decorate with your kids. All you need is empty milk jugs, permanent markers and battery operated candles.
First, draw a face on the outside with markers.  Then, cut a hole in the bottom just big enough for the candle. Finally, place the battery operated candle inside. If you want it really sturdy and moveable, you could tape the candle to a piece of paper and then tape the paper to the bottom of the jug.

Ghost chair covers made with white pillow cases.
Create a spooky setting for a meal with something you can use year after year.
You will need as many white pillow cases as you have chairs and the some foam Halloween characters (you can find them at the craft store). Use fabric glue to stick the decorations on the pillow cases and viola.

. Bat Mobile with a coat hanger and cotton batting.
Create a family of bats to hang from your ceiling. This works great inside and outside – porch, kitchens or bedrooms. To make this, you will need a wire coat hanger, cotton batting and some bats.
You can either buy a bat kit from your local craft store or cut some out at home. Make them out of different color construction paper or tissue paper. If you want something to use year after year you can use two pieces of fabric fused together with facing.
Tie the bats on the coat hanger using invisible string. Use tape to hold each bat in place on the hanger.

Pull the batting over the coat hanger and fluff it all around. Add a moon or stars if you wish and it’s ready to hang!
