How many e-mails do you receive each day, each week, each month? I receive somewhere between 30 to 50 each and every day. I receive them on my desktop, I receive them on my tablet and I receive them on my cell phone. I have two business e-mail addresses and many of the messages are repeated to both of my accounts. Prudent social media workers find our addresses from many sources. Your address and mine are available and the daily, weekly and monthly messages will keep coming if we don’t stop and take the time to ‘unsubscribe’. While I was composing this message, I have received two messages I don’t want. Don’t just put them in junk mail – ‘unsubscribe’. It’s easy. There is a spot at the bottom of all those unwanted messages to ‘unsubscribe’.
Don’t take me wrong. I receive many messages that I want; but, I receive many messages that I don’t want. I have to believe you do too. I was spending at least 15 to 30 minutes each and every day deleting messages from the same senders from my desktop, my tablet and my cell phone. I have better ways to use that 3 to 4 hours every week.
Schedule time to ‘unsubscribe’. Calendar 30 minutes within the next day or so to ‘unsubscribe’ to the messages you are not interested in receiving.
This 30 minutes will save you hours.
PS – OK, you have now cleaned up your In Box. Take another 30 minutes to clean up your work space. You will have more time to enjoy what you really want to do. Be safe.
